Life, Death and 9-11

As a kid I went on a field trip to NYC from my home an hour north of the city. I remember as a kid being on the roof of the tower and looking down on the top of a small engine plane flying by.

Years later I watched the towers come down and a month after 911 visited a friend in my old home town. As we flew into the airport you could still see smoke coming from the disaster site.

It’s only now in my 40s that I feel like I truly understand the wide spread impact of this event.

On this day, hug your loved ones and pray that nothing like this ever happens again in our country’s history.
