5k Training — W1D1

Week 1. Day 1.

Number one is just to gain a passion for running. To love the morning, to love the trail, to love the pace on the track. And if some kid gets really good at it, that’s cool too.

Day 1 of this journey is over. I can’t believe that it’s been so long since I’ve run. Been putting it off too long for different reasons. Today for instance the family went fishing. I was there. I hung out, but my mind was on getting my workout in instead of the activity the others were doing.

Balance is key when training, but my health needs to be my priority and this is the only way to get both things done.
